Griffin One (Artist Statement)
I feel compelled to blend organic forms with industrial elements; the juxtaposition of these two worlds can provide a mirror for our culture and our times, reminding us that although they may seem disparate, they are complementary, and perhaps even one and the same. A fusion of our modern technological age embodied in music and form, and counter-balanced with nature & elements of the old world, plays a theme in the majority of my work. I believe it inspires an inner dialog and strikes a chord with one's imagination and its possibilities.Griffin One (Live Art/Short Version)

Griffin is often drawn to creating large-scale aerosol Public Murals & in turn transforming and enhancing an otherwise dull environment, where diverse audiences have an opportunity to interact with the subject matter. Griffin’s graffiti roots stretch back to the mid-90's Seattle golden era. Since then, he has continued to pioneer the aerosol mural art-form: in historic sections of cities where no public aerosol murals had yet existed; as well as in areas that are well-established hubs of the scene.
Griffin works with a diverse span of festivals & galleries, along side a number of state based & International clients & collectors. His most recent body of canvas work, seeks to infuse organic elements into a framework of industrial textures. This newest Series is entitled “Know Matter What.”
